Achievements, XP and ranks

The badge ladder, how experience is earned, and the twenty ranks from Seedling to Immortal.

2 min read

Achievements turns the slow work of cataloguing into visible progress. It is entirely optional — nothing in ELVOAQ is gated behind it — but it is a decent nudge towards the records you keep meaning to finish.

How badges work

There are twenty families, each measuring one thing you do. Every family has ten tiers, numbered with roman numerals, so there are two hundred badges in total.

Collection
Items catalogued, photos added, documented items (a maker or SKU recorded), and portfolio value.
Organisation
Categories used, collections created, tags applied, files attached, notes written, reminders set, calendar events scheduled, wishlist entries.
Engagement
Favourites marked, comments written, voice memos recorded.
Sharing
Share links created, showrooms published, reactions received, comments received on shares, offers received.

Most families climb 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1 000, 2 500. Families that accrue more slowly use a gentler ladder — 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 35, 50, 100, 200, 500 — and portfolio value climbs in money, from 100 up to a million.

XP and ranks

Experience comes from what you have actually recorded, not from how many badges you have collected — so the count cannot be inflated. Different actions are worth different amounts: an offer received is worth 25 XP, a share link 20, an item 15, a collection 10, a photo 3.

XP places you on a ladder of twenty ranks, widening as it climbs so early progress is quick and the top stays out of easy reach:

The page

Your current rank and the XP still needed for the next one sit at the top. Next up shows the achievements you are closest to completing, which is the useful part — it usually names a small job you can finish this evening. Filter by all, unlocked or locked, filter by group, and search by name.

Note

Unlocking a badge or reaching a new rank can send a notification. Turn it off under Achievements and rank in Notification settings if you would rather it stayed quiet.
