Photos are what make a record convincing — to you a year later, to an insurer, and to anybody you share it with.
Adding photos
- 1Open the item and go to the Photos area, or use the upload area while creating it.
- 2Drag image files onto it, or press it to browse. On a phone or tablet, the camera opens so you can shoot directly into the record.
- 3Wait for the upload to finish — a progress indicator shows while it runs.
The cover photo
The first photo is the cover: it is what the library card, the dashboard and every share link show. To change it, open the photo's menu and choose Set as main photo. The change is recorded in the item's history.
Reordering
Use Move photo up and Move photo down on a photo to change where it sits. Order matters on shared pages, where somebody scrolls through them in sequence — put the establishing shot first and the details after.
Viewing full size
Press a photo to open the lightbox. Inside it, ← and → move between photos, + and − zoom, and Esc closes. Drag a zoomed photo to pan around it.
How many photos you can add
| Plan | Photos per item |
|---|---|
| Free | 5 |
| Starter | 10 |
| Collector | 20 |
| Pro | 40 |
| Business | 50 |
| Ultimate | Unlimited |
Photos also consume your storage allowance. If uploads start being refused, check Settings → Subscription for how much space is left.
Tip
For anything valuable, take five: the whole object, the maker's mark or logo, the serial number, any damage, and the paperwork. That set answers almost every question an insurer or a buyer will ask.
