Common problems
The handful of causes behind most of what goes wrong, and how to check each one.
2 min read
My items have disappeared
- 1Check the workspace switcher in the top bar. This is the cause the overwhelming majority of the time.
- 2Clear any active filters and the search box in the library.
- 3Look in Trash — deleted items are restorable.
- 4Check Hidden folders, in case they were moved there.
I cannot sign in
- Passwords are case-sensitive; check for a stuck caps lock.
- If you signed up with Google or Apple, use that button — there may be no password on the account.
- Use Forgot password if you are unsure.
- If a 2FA code is refused, your phone's clock has probably drifted. Switch it to automatic time.
Uploads fail
- Check your storage in Subscription — when it is full, uploads pause.
- Check the file's size against your plan's per-file limit.
- Check the photo count for that item against your plan's limit.
- On a phone, check that the app has permission to use the camera and photos.
Something is refused with a message about my plan
You have reached a limit. Nothing is deleted or hidden — only the action is refused. The dialog names the limit; Plans and limits has the full table.
A share link does not work
- It may have been revoked, or an expiring link may have passed its date.
- A password-protected link needs the password, which is sent separately from the link.
- A private invite only opens for the ELVOAQ users you named.
- If the collection behind the link was deleted, the link has nothing to show.
Numbers look wrong
- Check Settings → Price display — you may be looking at net where you expected gross, or the reverse.
- Check the item's currency. Totals convert, and a wrong original currency converts wrongly.
- Check whether include quantity is on in a price total.
- Items with no price contribute nothing — Smart Hub lists them under Missing prices.
The app is slow or a page will not load
- 1Reload the page.
- 2Check elvoaq.com/status to see whether the platform itself is affected.
- 3Try a private window, which rules out an extension or a stale cache.
- 4Try another browser or the mobile app, which tells you whether the problem is local.
