What uses space, how to see the breakdown, and how to get more.

Photos, files, voice memos and 3D models all consume storage. Storage in the sidebar shows how much you have used, how much your plan includes, and a breakdown of where it has gone.
Freeing space
- Empty the Trash. Deleted items keep their photos and files until they are permanently removed — and with retention set to never, that is for ever.
- Remove duplicate photos of the same item. Five good photos beat twenty near-identical ones.
- Replace enormous scans with reasonable ones. A 40 MB TIFF of a receipt is not more useful than a 400 KB PDF.
- Delete items you no longer own, once you are sure you will not need the record.

Storage add-ons can be bought separately from your plan:

Note
When storage is full, existing files stay safe — uploads are paused until you free space or add more.
