Hidden folders and locked items

Password-protected folders that stay out of the ordinary library, and PIN-locking a single item.

1 min read

Some records should not be visible to somebody glancing at your screen. Hidden folders hold them behind a password of their own.

Creating a hidden folder

  1. 1Open Hidden folders in the sidebar.
  2. 2Press Create folder.
  3. 3Give it a name, and optionally a description, an icon and a colour.
  4. 4Set a folder password and confirm it. This is separate from your account password.
  5. 5Press Create.

Important

Write the folder password down somewhere safe. It protects the folder's contents and there is no reset link for it — losing it means losing access to what is inside.

Putting items into a folder

  1. 1Open the folder and enter its password.
  2. 2Press Add item and pick from your library. You can filter by category or restrict to favourites while you choose.
  3. 3The item moves out of the ordinary library view and into the folder.

Changing or removing a folder password

Open the folder, choose Edit folder, and use Change folder password. You must enter the current password to set a new one. Leaving the new password empty keeps the existing one.

Deleting a folder

Deleting a folder asks for the password first. The items inside are not destroyed — they return to the ordinary library.

Locking a single item

For one sensitive record, a whole folder is overkill. Open the item and choose Lock item, then set a PIN. The library shows it as Locked and its details stay hidden until the PIN is entered. Change PIN and Remove lock are on the same menu.
