Insurance evidence packages
Building the document set an insurer, a loss adjuster or the police will ask for — for one item or many.
2 min read
An asset evidence package is a structured document that gathers everything about one or more items into the form somebody assessing a claim expects: the item data, the photos, the documents, the valuations, the certificates, the policy details and the incident itself.
It is the thing you cannot assemble after a fire. Building it while everything is fine is the entire point.
Building a package
- 1Open Insurance documents in the sidebar and press New package.
- 2Pick the items. Search, filter, sort by value or name, and use Select shown to take everything currently listed.
- 3Give the package a title.
- 4Choose its purpose (see below).
- 5Fill in the insurance policy details if you have them: provider, policy number and coverage limit.
- 6For a claim, describe the incident: its type and what happened.
- 7Preview the package, then Print / PDF it or Export it.
Purposes
- Insurance claim support
- Ownership proof
- Warranty claim
- Theft report
- Damage report
- Resale preparation
- Audit documentation
- Personal archive
- Other
The purpose changes which sections are emphasised — a theft report leads with identification and the incident; resale preparation leads with condition and valuation.
What is inside
- Item overview
- Identity, category, condition, manufacturer, serial and inventory data.
- Photos
- The item's images.
- Documents
- The attached files — receipts, invoices, appraisals.
- Valuations
- Purchase price, estimated value and any recorded appraisals.
- Insurance policy
- Provider, policy number and coverage limit as you entered them.
- Incident details
- What happened, for a claim.
- Timeline
- The item's dated history, which is what turns a set of photos into evidence.
The manifest
Download manifest produces a machine-readable index of everything the package contains. Send it alongside the PDF when an insurer wants a structured list rather than a document.

Important
ELVOAQ produces documentation. It does not decide claims, and the guidance shown on the page is not insurance advice — your policy and your insurer decide what is covered.
