Offers, bids and price requests
Letting visitors make an offer on a shared item, and the conversation that follows.
1 min read
A share link can invite a response. Switch on Enable bids or donations while building it, and visitors get a form instead of a dead end.
What a visitor can do
- Competitive bids
- Visitors bid against each other. Set a starting or minimum amount and the currency.
- Donations
- Visitors contribute an amount of their choosing.
- Bids and donations
- Both are offered.
Every submission carries the visitor's contact details and a message, so an offer arrives as a conversation rather than a bare number.
The Requests inbox
Offers and enquiries land in Requests in the sidebar, with an unread badge. Filter by all, unread, pending, accepted or declined, and search across them.
- Conversation
- Reply in the thread. The visitor receives your reply by email and answers from a link — they never need an account.
- Accept
- Marks the offer accepted and tells the visitor.
- Decline
- Marks it declined, politely and finally.
- Close request
- Ends the thread when the matter is finished.
- Contact details
- Copy the visitor's email, or the link to the thread.
- Open share
- Jumps to the link the offer came from.
Important
ELVOAQ carries the conversation. It does not take payment, hold funds, escrow anything or verify who the other party is. Settle the deal by your own means, and apply the caution you would to any private sale.
Note
Replies are rate limited to prevent a thread being used to send bulk mail. If you hit the limit, wait a little and send again.
