A tour of the interface
The sidebar, the top bar, the command search and the workspace switcher — what each part is for.
2 min read
Every screen in the app shares the same frame: a navigation sidebar on the left, a top bar across the width, and the page itself in the middle.
The sidebar
The sidebar is the map of the platform. It is grouped so that the things you use constantly sit at the top and the specialised tools sit below.
- Dashboard
- The overview: totals, recent activity, charts, and shortcuts to what you were last working on.
- Library
- Every item you own, with search, filters and view switching. This is where you spend most of your time.
- Categories
- The category tree that classifies items.
- Favourites
- Items you have starred.
- Accounting
- Financial views over your items — values, costs, depreciation, reports.
- Smart Hub
- AI insights and reminders.
- AI Assistant
- A chat that can answer questions about your own vault.
- Item Intelligence
- Finds likely duplicates and near-identical records.
- Hidden folders
- Password-protected folders that stay out of the ordinary library.
- Import / Export
- Bringing data in and taking it out.
- Trash
- Deleted items, restorable until they expire.
- Notifications
- Everything the platform wanted to tell you.
- Workspaces, Users & roles, Collections, Price totals, Sharing, Requests, Business card, Achievements, Certificates, Insurance documents, Calendar, Audit trail, Settings
- The rest of the platform, each covered in its own section of this guide.
Tip
On a narrow screen the sidebar collapses behind the menu button in the top-left. Tap it to open, tap anywhere outside to close.
The top bar
- Search
- Searches your items and the app's own screens. Typing “vat” jumps you to the price-display settings; typing a maker's name finds the items.
- Workspace switcher
- Switches between separate vaults. See Workspaces.
- Notifications bell
- Unread count and a quick list. Opens the full notifications page.
- Account menu
- Your avatar. Contains Settings, Subscription, and Sign out.
The guided tour
The first time you open the vault, a short overlay walks you through the main areas. You can dismiss it at any point, and start it again later from Settings → About → Tutorial.
